From a thousand product pages to one clear comparison — here is exactly how we do it.
EG-PC is a meta search engine for PC hardware in Egypt. Instead of visiting each retailer separately, you search once on EG-PC and we surface live offers from every store we track. The pipeline below runs continuously in the background so the prices you see reflect the current Egyptian market, not a stale catalog.
The full pipeline, step by step
1. We index Egyptian hardware retailers
Our crawlers visit a curated list of trusted Egyptian PC component stores multiple times per day. They collect product titles, specifications, images, prices, and stock status directly from each store's official catalog — no third-party scrapers and no resellers in the middle.
2. We normalize and match products
Different stores describe the same GPU, CPU, motherboard or memory kit in wildly different ways. We clean up titles, extract real specs, and group identical SKUs across retailers so you see one product card with every offer attached, instead of ten near-duplicates.
3. We track price history
Every price change for every tracked product is stored. That history powers the price chart on each product page so you can tell whether a so-called discount is genuine, a return to the previous baseline, or actually worse than last week.
4. You search and filter
Use the global search or browse by category — graphics cards, processors, motherboards, memory, storage, power supplies, cases, cooling, monitors, peripherals, prebuilt desktops, and gaming laptops. Filter by price, brand, store, chipset, capacity, socket, and dozens of category-specific specs.
5. You compare offers side by side
On each product page, every store currently selling the item is listed with its live price, stock status, and direct link. The cheapest in-stock offer is highlighted, and you can sort by price, store, or last-updated time.
6. You plan a full build
Add parts to a saved build, see the running total across stores, and share the build with friends or forums. When prices change, the total updates automatically.
7. You buy from the store you trust
EG-PC never processes the sale. When you are ready, you click through to the retailer's own product page and complete the purchase, payment, and warranty there — exactly as if you had found the store on your own, just faster and cheaper.
How fresh is the data?
Most retailers we track are re-crawled multiple times per day. Each product card shows when its price was last verified so you can judge for yourself whether to refresh before checking out.
What we do — and what we don't
We surface what each store publishes on its own website. We do not set prices, hold stock, take payments, or ship products. We do not influence which store ranks higher in exchange for money. If a price or stock status looks wrong, it almost always means the source store updated faster than our latest crawl, and the next refresh will catch up.
